Committee for Ordinance Compliance

(2 Council members and 5 citizens)

The committee is temporary (expected to last less than a year) and is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our citizens through the education and enforcement of our city ordinances. The following outlines the committee's intended areas of focus:

• Educating citizens on the existing city ordinances and emphasizing the necessity of compliance.
• Conducting a comprehensive survey of historical and current citizen complaints to discern optimal strategies for enhancing compliance with city ordinances.
• Collaborating with municipal staff and the council to devise a strategy for augmenting and improving code compliance throughout the city.
• Supporting city staff in pinpointing properties posing compliance issues.
• Overseeing the city's initiatives to enhance code compliance and proposing adjustments to the strategy.
• Providing monthly reports to the city council regarding the progress of the city's endeavors in advancing code compliance.
